” 1 part avid soccer player, 1 part piano player, 1 part rebel, 2 parts nerd, and 3 parts crazy. Too many parts? “

Greetings! Welcome to the life of a passionate, inquisitive, and energetic 16-year-old teenager. I am currently in grade 11 and I attend Sir Winston Churchill secondary school.
As a young adolescent pondering, I reminisce endlessly inquiring for advice. “What should I be when I grow up?” “Why do snowflakes exhibit six-fold radial symmetry?” Never satisfied with simple responses, I decided to remedy my queries, discover, and learn through self-exploration and experimentation. And that is where my love for science began―simply through my inquisition and curiosity!
A little bit about me!
Outside of a classroom setting, I am an avid soccer player, swimmer and runner. Additionally, I love to go hiking, explore the city and observe the intricate architectural buildings and designs. At home, I can be found playing the piano, juxtaposing and arranging different musical tunes, or designing ridiculous looking homes (my guilty pleasure)! I love working with kids, and I provide weekly piano lessons for my wonderful students. My favourite sciences as of today are chemical, genetic and materials engineering. Additionally, something that has grasped my interest in these last couple of weeks is robotics. I would like to learn the mechanisms behind robotics as well as how to design and program hardwares and softwares.
Why FSL?
Not only do I wish to develop my perspective of academia in the STEM-based disciplines, but I also aspire to engage in more hands-on experiments and challenges which push to use unorthodox ways to solve difficult problems. I am particularly fond of mathematics and physics, and with this program, I hope to become familiar with applying math into real-life situations. Additionally, I would like to meet experts in indifferent fields for further questions and advice.
