1.My School and Grade
I am currently attending The Westside Schools and am in grade 11. This is my first year at this school and I am enjoying it very much.
2.My Favourite subjects
My favourite school subjects are mathematics, physics and computer programming. I like all of these subjects because of the logical and predictable progression of learning in each of these. I also find that after learning a new concept, I immediately can think of applicaftions that it could be used for, and just enjoy thinking about these things.
3.Why I joined the Future Science Leaders program
I originally heard about future science leaders from someone at a math camp at SFU who was joining the program and told me about it. I was then planning on applying for the program when I met two other people that were in the program at the Sanofi Biogenius Contest. ONe of the reasons that I was interested in the program is that I have a wide array of interests in STEM and i thought the exposure from the program would help me decide what field i want to go to.
4. What I want to be When I Grow up
When I grow up, I would like to have a job involved in STEM, but as of right now I am unable to decide the precise field. This is one of the reasons I am in the FSL program, to get exposure to different fields of science. As of now, some my top choices are computational biology, computer programmming and theoretical physics.
5. My Hobbies
The hobbies that I spend most of my time on are mainly programming, rowing, speed-solving Rubik’s cubes, playing video games, singing in a choir and rowing.
