Hi, my name is Robin Yadav. I was born in India and I moved here, to Canada when I was 5. I’ve always enjoyed Mathematics and Science growing up. Even as I enter into Grade 10 they still are my favourite subjects in school. I enjoy the challenge and creativity these subjects provide. A mathematician or physicist are careers that I’ve always replied with when someone asks me about what I want to do in the future. I’m part of Future Science Leaders not only because I have a passion for Mathematics but I want to gain insight on what it’s like to be a scientist.
To fuel my passion, I participate in Science Fairs and Math Competitions. I’ve gotten 1st place in my school in the Gauss and Pascal Math competition’s 3 years in a row. I also just enjoy solving difficult math problems, especially ones from math contest for fun. I find electromagnetism fascinating and my science fair projects have been focused on that topic. In Grade 8 I did a project on electromagnets and in Grade 9 I did a project on Faraday Disks.

When I’m not doing Math or Science, I read books — usually about Math or Science. I also participate in extracurriculars. I’m part of my school’s Green Team and I help keep our school’s environment clean. I’m also part of my school’s wrestling team. It’s a physically demanding sport but I get stronger, phyiscally and mentally from doing it.
