Hi I’m Andrew and welcome to my blog. I’m a fairly normal teenage boy. I like video games, television shows and I spend WAY too much time on the internet. I also enjoy sleeping, reading manga and math. Hang on a minute. Math? that’s not a normal teenage thing. That’s right. If you take even a glimpse at my blog, it’s pretty obvious that I like math. A lot. More generally however, I like thinking. I’m even thinking in my spare time. I’m even thinking when I’m lying in bed. My strange love of thinking links pretty much all of the activities I do.
When it comes to science, I’m not the best at biology or chemistry. I much prefer math, computer programming and physics because they always confront me with a logic problem that will require me to think hard about it. I’ve also recently gotten interested in psychology which is (humorously) the science of thought and behaviour. But my love of thought extends past science. It affects my extra-curricular activities, leisure and even sports!
Outside of school, I enjoy debating, public speaking, playing flute and learning french. I’m always trying to engage my brain, so I’m rarely play sports. But even when I do engage in physical activity, I’m still thinking! I like to sail, play badminton and play volleyball because (I’m sure you see where I’m going) I like to think. My favourite part about badminton is that you can strategically hit the bird onto your opponent’s court to give yourself an advantage. I find these activities much more interesting. I even like thinking for fun! I do puzzles, logic problems and brainteasers in my spare time. When it comes to video games, I dislike mindless shooting games like Halo or Call of Duty. I would much rather play a strategy, skill or puzzle game like Zelda or Mario. I love thinking.
So I hope you enjoy my blog. I have a lot of fun writing about my random musings and thoughts and I hope you have fun reading about them! Maybe you’ll start to like thinking too!
